RME announces four new M-32 Pro II converters

RME introduces four new M-32 Pro II converters, the successor of the successful M-32 Pro converter series - now also with Dante®. Designed for professional studios, immersive sound room installations, live sound systems and industrial applications, the M-32 Pro II offers high-quality analog conversion and advanced network audio processing.

All M-32 Pro II units are based on state-of-the-art, high-resolution converter components and fully balanced signal routing, achieving a dynamic range of 120 dB(A) with very low latencies. While the M-32 AD Pro II offers the same outstanding analog performance as its predecessor, the DA converter has improved THD+N to -111 dB. Optimization of the impulse response at high sample rates further refines the conversion process.

RME has integrated the often requested Dante connectivity directly into the hardware of the M-32 Pro II-D. With the help of the Dante Virtual Soundcard™, users can connect up to 64 audio channels of a computer directly to the analog and digital inputs and outputs of the M-32 Pro II-D.

The AVB models transmit and receive up to 128 channels at 48 kHz (96@96k, 64@192k) with a predefined, fixed latency. Each unit shares its status and configurable options with the network via ATDECC (IEEE 1722.1), allowing seamless integration into deterministic networks.

All units are equipped with a number of advanced features. A second network port has been added to allow for redundant operation or (Dante model only) to connect multiple units together. In addition to the coaxial word clock and MADI ports, an optical MADI port can be extended with an optional SFP module - ideal for redundancy or applications requiring a high number of channels at high sample rates. The channels of the two MADI ports can be routed individually to AVB/Dante.
