New Firmware Update and MILAN Certification for RME Devices
RME has released a major firmware update. At the same time, the company announces MILAN certification for a number of its products.
MILAN is an open IEEE standard that allows devices from different manufacturers to work together seamlessly in networks where precise timing is essential. With the free firmware update, RME users can integrate their devices into the growing MILAN ecosystem.
The update brings improvements to RME's M-Series, including the Dante and MILAN devices 12Mic and AVB Tool. In total, there are twelve firmware updates that improve the functionality and usability of RME products.
In addition, RME is pleased to announce that the 12Mic, AVB Tool, M-32 Pro II AD and DA, M-32 Pro AD and DA, M-1610 Pro and M-1620 Pro are now Avnu™ MILAN certified. This certification guarantees seamless interoperability and enhanced performance. RME joined the AVNU alliance that created MILAN in 2021, and has been progressively extending its AVB implementation towards MILAN compliance. The certification gives users the assurance that they can simply connect their devices and stream up to 128 channels of uncompressed audio with very low latency.
