update your ADI-2 DAC FS firmware

RME products have been known for decades for their outstanding sound quality and longevity. Ongoing developments through firmware updates guarantee the long-term use of the products. Especially the ADI-2 series has received numerous optimizations and new features in recent years. This video will tell you how to update the firmware of the ADI-2 DAC FS.

First, go to the Download- or Product page and download the Flash Update Tool, which will allow you to update the firmware of the DAC.

When you click on the Downloads tab, you will first go to the Product Overview. In the dropdown menu you can select the ADI-2 DAC FS. In the next step you select the operating system of your computer from which the update should be performed. Finally, the current firmware version can be downloaded. Windows users have to install the Flash Update Tool and the MADIface driver first, which can also be downloaded via the search mask.

If not already done, connect the ADI-2 DAC FS to the computer via USB, open the downloaded folder and start the Flash Update Tool. In the dialog menu you can now see under which firmware your DAC FS is running and which is the latest version in comparison. To start the firmware update, click on Update. After successful installation you have to switch the ADI-2 DAC FS off and on again. Now the device is up to date!
