Piano Stereo Kit
The DPK2015 is a ready-to-use microphone kit that can be installed in one minute. It brings out the true sound of the piano. This kit provides a turnkey stereo solution for miking pianos by bundling the components and defining a workflow. The DPK2015 is designed for versatile mounting, whether inside or outside the piano with the lid open or closed.
This complete stereo set includes two 2015 Wide Cardioid microphones. The microphones have been carefully selected for a sensitivity of ±1 dB at 1 kHz.
Professional sound engineers often describe the DPK2015 as somewhat "softer" with excellent mixing, a natural stereo image, and a surprisingly full sound in various positions. Due to its wide directional characteristic, it is valued for its quick, easy, and flexible mounting solution.
The DPK2015 Piano Stereo Kit was developed for grand pianos, but the 2015 wide cardioid microphones are versatile enough to be used with many other instruments and ensembles. This stereo pair is ideal for complete drum kits (when used as overheads), brass sections, vibraphones, xylophones, large marimbas, and other wide acoustic sources. It offers excellent imaging and a natural, balanced sound.
