Lake People presents the ultracompact MC10 monitor controller
Lake People is expanding its renowned line of monitor controllers with the new MC10, a particularly portable standout. Building on the success of the MC100 and rack-mount MC50, the palm-sized MC10 delivers top-tier studio technology with dimensions of 108 × 41 × 143 mm. This makes it the ideal solution for demanding setups with limited space or for professional monitoring on the go.
Versatile connectivity in a compact design
Despite its compact size, the MC10 functions as a full-fledged monitoring hub. It connects digitally via USB-C, and the integrated converter processes PCM signals up to 384 kHz at 32-bit and DSD up to DSD256. An RCA input is also available for analog sources. A front-panel switch allows for quick switching between input sources. The device offers connections for speakers via XLR and RCA on the output side, as well as two headphone jacks (6.3 mm and 3.5 mm) on the front. Particularly flexible: The outputs can be switched separately via dedicated buttons or operated simultaneously for simultaneous playback.
Uncompromising quality “Made in Germany”
As is customary with the Gauting-based manufacturer, the MC10 uses only the highest-quality components. Volume control is handled by a precise Alps RK27 potentiometer, whose 18-mm knob provides a tactile, responsive feel. The integrated headphone amplifier features a proven pre-gain circuit for optimal adaptation to various headphone models. The device is fully bus-powered, but it can also be operated via an external power supply to conserve laptop battery life.
