RME: Windows 11 ARM drivers for the HDSPe series and the HDSPe MADI FX.

RME is breaking new ground with Windows 11 ARM. Native WDM and ASIO drivers, along with full HDSPe and MADI FX support for Snapdragon X systems, are now available, offering 100% performance and TotalMix FX.

RME is pleased to announce the release of 64-bit Windows 11 ARM drivers for the HDSPe series and HDSPe MADI FX. These drivers ensure seamless compatibility with the latest ARM notebooks featuring Qualcomm's Snapdragon X CPU.

New paths in audio compatibility!

Thanks to Microsoft's enhanced emulation technology for native Windows applications, current ARM laptops are now ready for professional audio production. However, emulation is not an option for audio applications that require drivers. Therefore, RME has further developed its proven WDM and ASIO drivers to make them fully compatible with Windows 11 ARM. This enables Snapdragon X chipsets to reach their full potential, ensuring seamless integration with the latest computer platforms.

RME offers unique support for the HDSPe series and HDSPe MADI FX.

RME's new drivers are designed to enable all cards in the HDSPe series, as well as the HDSPe MADI FX, to deliver their full performance and functionality, thus exploiting the potential of Snapdragon ARM systems without compromising audio quality or performance. The new drivers are 100% compatible with the current feature set of RME drivers and TotalMix FX.

The new PCIe audio drivers are compatible with x64 Intel computers and current Snapdragon X ARM notebooks running Windows 11. The WDM and ASIO drivers are available in 32-bit and 64-bit configurations, offering comprehensive compatibility. Switching between the old and new 64-bit drivers on Intel systems is effortless.

ARM is ready for PCIe – and RME is taking the next step.

Last year, RME became the first pro audio manufacturer to provide native USB drivers for Windows 11 on ARM, setting new standards. However, one crucial prerequisite was missing at the time: Thunderbolt support on Snapdragon-based notebooks, and with it, the ability to use PCIe-based HDSPe cards. The new generation of ARM notebooks is set to change this fundamentally. Thanks to USB4 with Thunderbolt 3 support, external PCIe chassis can now be used on ARM platforms too. RME is making full use of this technological advance, enabling professional users to use the HDSPe series on modern ARM systems without compromise for the first time.
