VARIANTS
4018A SUPERCARDIOID MICROPHONE
The 4018A supercardioid microphone is designed for a wide range of applications from music recording and broadcast, electronic reporting and film sound recording. Ideal for booming, dialogue, interview and table or spot recordings.
4018C COMPACT SUPERCARDIOID MICROPHONE
Comparable to the 4018A, but with an even shorter length of only 6.4 cm, the 4018C compact supercardioid microphone has high directivity and a smooth and consistent off-axis frequency response. A very small microphone with a great sound. Ideal as a support or hanging microphone for orchestral recordings.
4018E SUPERCARDIOID MICROPHONE
Ideal for inconspicuous or distant miking, for example suspended or table-mounted, the 4018ER/ES supercardioid microphone is an ultra-compact microphone with a very narrow pick-up pattern. With a length of only 35 mm, the unobtrusive microphone is as unique as its supercardioid characteristic with high directivity and a smooth and uniform off-axis frequency response.
The 4018ER/ES supercardioid microphone combines the MMC4018 supercardioid microphone capsule with the MMP-ER/ES modular active cable, XLR, an integrated cable solution with side (4018ES) or rear (4018ER) output.
It is designed for a wide range of applications from music recording and broadcasting, electronic reporting and film sound applications. Ideal as a support or suspended microphone for orchestral recording when used with the SM4000-C bracket included in the package. This allows the 4018E to be suspended from the ceiling and mounted precisely and reproducibly for support miking of orchestral groups or room sound.

Combine it with the preamp of your choice
Other preamps include the very small form factor types MMP-E Modular Active Cable (XLR output) and MMP-G Modular Active Cable (MicroDot output), allowing for very slim set-ups. The MMP-G even allows you to match a larger microphone directly to a wireless transmitter. The MMP-G, together with the GSM4000 Gooseneck Shock Mount, can be used for anything from very lightweight booming applications to very high-end instrument miking using the 4099 CORE series of instrument mounting options.
