In close collaboration with the specialists at Ampete Engineering, Two Notes is setting new standards in modern amp management. The Captor X Pro combines a 150 W reactive load cabinet with programmable attenuation, advanced Torpedo™ processing and uncompromising routing, all housed in a robust metal enclosure designed for touring.

Full dynamics at any volume

At the heart of the hardware is a newly developed multi-impedance reactive load (150 W), which can drive amplifiers with 4, 8 and 16 Ω from a single unit. The natural response, playing feel and harmonic character of a real speaker cabinet are fully preserved.

• Programmable passive attenuation: Thanks to relay control and an autotransformer design, any tube amplifier can be driven to its sonic sweet spot at any volume — all the way down to complete silence for noise-free direct recordings in the studio or at home.
• Triple-Voiced Load Architecture: Three switchable load characteristics (Natural, Presence and Resistive) precisely tune the interaction between the amplifier and the load, making it ideal for achieving vintage warmth, modern punch or exact reproducibility in AI-powered amp profiling.
• Virtual Load Shaper: Selectable impedance curves after the output stage further customise the dynamic response, attack and bass to your liking, eliminating the need for any physical modifications to the amplifier.

True Stereo DynIR™ & Maximum DSP Power

For speaker simulation, the Captor X Pro utilises the latest True Stereo DynIR™ engine. Two virtual microphones or static impulse responses can be positioned freely in the stereo field and edited separately. Dual-mono routing also allows for completely independent signal paths for FOH, monitoring or recording.
