UNiKA PRO-248

The UNiKA PRO-248 is a professional, active, two-channel direct box (DI) that connects electric and electroacoustic guitars, basses, effects pedals, and other high-impedance sources to balanced microphone inputs on a mixing console or external microphone preamplifier. Since the PRO-248 uses the 48V phantom power from the preamp, it does not require batteries or other power supplies.

Input Channels 1 and 2: The PRO-248's TRS connectors allow you to connect a variety of unbalanced and balanced sources. These are typically high-impedance signals from instrument pickups, but the PRO-248 can also be used as an ISO input for line-level signals. You can connect one stereo or two mono devices.

The UNiKA PRO-248 is equipped with UNiKA-PRO™ EI30A10E 1+1 isolation transformers, which have a special copper foil layer and a dedicated grounding layer. This gives the device a high signal-to-noise ratio, dynamic sound restoration, and protection against unnecessary losses due to high-frequency and grounding interference, as well as potential differences. The PRO 248 is particularly suitable for electronic musical instruments, recording studios, and fixed installation projects involving mixing consoles.
