The Smart Research C2S delivers industry-standard sound and goes one step further. Released in 1995, the original C2 was used in both mastering and recording due to its clarity and dynamic characteristics, lending a consistent power to even the most dynamic programmes. In addition to its broadcast functions, phase-sensitive coupling helped live sound engineers to extend the headroom by a further 6 dB (at Capitol Mastering, Britannia Row and Clair Brothers alone, this figure exceeded 20 dB). The C2S combines individually controllable S&D functions, a more flexible CRUSH mode and the SEPIA platform, and the format can be expanded to multiple linked channels.
