Langstrath EC24 SEPIA Module

Four-stage dynamic processor

+

The EC24 provides four levels of hierarchical dynamic control within a single SEPIA module. Equipped with an expander, a precision compressor, a vintage-style compressor with selectable settings, and a limiter, it helps audio engineers solve important problems and enables extreme creativity.

Enhancer

The Enhancer is the first stage of the EC24's dynamics chain and operates in two modes. Primary Mode is designed to enhance vocals and other non-percussive signals. It reduces stage noise and crosstalk, increases the usable level before feedback occurs, and ensures an overall cleaner mix. EXP/Gate mode provides advanced parameters for simple gating and transient shaping.

C-comp

As its name suggests, the C-Comp (Clean Compressor) is an extremely transparent compressor that reduces the dynamic range of the input signal without significantly altering the sound. Thanks to its seamless transition between two opposite exponential release curves, the EC24 provides significant compression that is not unpleasantly noticeable.

F-comp

The F-Comp (Feature Compressor) allows the EC24 to showcase its character and sound. With three modes inspired by classic compressors—Opto, Diode Bridge, and Mu—the F-Comp can add warmth to vocals, make drums stand out, and bring out the rich overtones of a grand piano at the push of a button.

Limiter

The limiter is the final device in the chain. It is an upgraded version of the C-Comp with an infinite ratio and extremely fast attack times. Its main function is to set the absolute limit of the signal source. Additionally, it is ideal for capturing scattered consonants or intentionally distorting the "front part" of the signal source.
