Pro Tools Sketch is the most significant workflow update to Pro Tools, adding non-linear, clip-based workflows Pro Tools' world-class recording, editing, and mixing tools. Sketch is available both as a new window in all versions of Pro Tools (including the free Pro Tools Intro) and as a free iPad app. With Sketch, you can experiment and play with your musical ideas wherever inspiration strikes you.
Musicians can start with non-linear, clip-based Sketches, where loops, MIDI, and recordings can be freely organized and played back, then exported to share with friends or bring ideas into the Pro Tools Timeline for further editing and mixing.
Pro Tools 2023.9 is now available for download from your AVID account. You must have an active update and support plan to download the latest version. Don't have an active plan? No problem, you can activate your plan with this upgrade. Applies to Pro Tools 9 and later or Pro Tools Studio, Pro Tools HD 9 and later, or Pro Tools Ultimate.
With the release of Pro Tools version 2023.9, Pro Tools perpetual licenses are now available again. Pro Tools Artist, Pro Tools Studio, and Pro Tools Ultimate are now available as perpetual licenses through resellers only. To make it even easier for perpetual license owners to stay current, AVID has combined the existing Pro Tools Perpetual Updates + Support Plan Renewals and Pro Tools Perpetual Updates + Support Plan Upgrade (Get Current) into a single offering. Beginning September 21, Pro Tools Perpetual customers will use a Pro Tools Perpetual Upgrade to renew or upgrade their perpetual license - there will no longer be a separate upgrade for customers who have canceled their Updates + Support Plan.
