RME unveils new Fireface UCX

The 36-channel USB&FireWire audio interface is not just a smaller version of the award winning UFX, including X-Core and the complete 192kHz effects engine. The UCX continues the tradition of RME's tremendously successful compact interfaces, and combines it with the great usability of the successful Babyface through the included remote control.

Optional addition for Fireface X-Series and others

RME presents at the NAMM show 2012 the Advanced Remote Control as optional addition to the Fireface UFX and Fireface UCX. The wired Advanced Remote Control (ARC) has been designed for direct access to the most frequently used actions and commands required in a studio's daily work. The ARC consists of a solid metal case with a main encoder dial and 8 push buttons, 6 of them equipped with LEDs. Seven buttons can be freely assigned via TotalMix FX to more than 36 different commands.

Apogee Announces 16x16 I/O Module for Symphony I/O

Today, Apogee announced the new 16x16 I/O Module for Symphony I/O, Apogee's best sounding interface to date. The latest addition to the Symphony I/O module line-up features 16 analog inputs, 16 analog outputs as well as 2 channels of SPDIF. The new design is a break-through in converter design as it is now possible to pack 32 channels of premium Apogee conversion into one Symphony I/O (two module spaces per chassis), a feature not available in any other converter on the market.
